Thanks to all the members who attended and to the festival attendees who stopped by our table. We talked to many, many people who are interested in anime. I was pleased to see people of all ages: as young as junior high all the way up to senior citizens. I always say "No matter what you like, there's an anime genre for you" and I really believe that.
We gave away lots of papers. Our Texas Anime Conventions sheet was probably the most frequently picked up one. I am sorry that I was not aware of the San Antonio anime convention at the time that I created the sheet. I've added a link to that here.

We had a great time and look forward to next year. I have to say that I particularly enjoyed the Kendo demonstration.

Japan Matsuri 2006
The Mizuumi Anime Club would like to invite the University community to attend the Japan-America Society of San Antonio’s “Japan Matsuri” on October 14th at the downtown Central Library. The festival runs from 11am to 4pm and will include a Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute) performance by OLLU’s own Dr. Martha Fabrique. The Anime club will also have a table providing attendees with information about anime: What it is, the different kinds available, and where to find it. More information and a complete schedule is available here.
JAS-SA's website is here for info on that organization.
