I hope to see everyone at the last meeting of the semester, Dec 2nd at 5:15pm in Library 102.
I'm bringing a very large bag of popcorn, so there should be plenty for everyone to enjoy some!
Good Luck on Finals!

Eigth Meeting
This was one of the last meetings of the year so we tried to decided on something to show for the last three meetings, but that did not go so well. It seemed to me from the discussion that the six of us had that most people only want to see stuff that either has little talking and all action or they just want to see a girls cheast bounce for most of the time. This is something that distrubes me a little cause that is not what makes up a good anime in my opinion. Four of the people that show up regularly like an anime that has a good storyline and keeps your attention even if that means that there is little action or sexual inuendo. Another thing is that one person wanted us to start showing things that are current and up to date and not series that were made in the 90's. The only problem that i have seen with this is that a lot of the series that peole want to see are not yet out intierly on DVD. This means that we could begin watching on of these series but would not be able to finish it untile the DVD's are obtainable. As mentioned in the beginning of the year we are not able to watch fansubed anime fromt he internet because that according to SGA and Copyright laws is illegal.
Well, after having a discussion we watched the first three episodes of Soul Taker. I am not sure if we are going to continue wathing this series this week due to the fact that it is a confusing series and if you miss an episode it is very difficult trying to get into it. Another reason is that we have ten episodes left and only two weeks to show them, unless peole want to have a meeting on the Friday of finals, which is fine with me. If you would like to read up on the first three episodes just in case, you can go to....http://www.animenfo.com/anime/episode/display.php?id=395&n=agitwc&t=soul_taker, or.....http://www.scifi.com/sfw/issue251/anime.html. You can even find your own site that has a good description of it and if you think it is more beneficial then the ones i have posted, let me know and I will put it up for all to see.
We will be having a meeting this week even though some of the members will not be there because of the Renisaunce festival and other events. We can do several things at this meeting. One, we can continue to watch Soul Taker and try to get as far as we can in it so that we can maybe finish it by the end of the semester. Two, I will bring in a movie collection by the writter of Ghost in the Shell and we can watch a movie or two of his.
Three, we can just talk about what we would like to do at the last meeting and what we should show next semester as our first series of 2006 so that i can go out and get it over the break and have it ready to go. One idea I had was possible picking up Beserker because it fits the criteria of a show people wanted to see. It has lots of blood and action, good story line, and some mature sexual inuendo for those who wanted it. This is just an idea of something i could get in order for us to watch next semester. If you have a series or movie that you would like to bring in and have us show next semester, let me know what it is, and how long it is. This would be a good way to help set this club going on a good foot next semseter. Then again, we could just wait until the first meeting next semester to descide on what to show. Just throwing some ideas out. Well, hope to see you all on Friday.
